Cube were appointed as Project Managers, Contract Administrators and CDMC for this successful new design and build mixed office and industrial development.
The project comprised the design and build of a three storey building of high specification purpose-built and fully air conditioned, office space. Ground and first floor offices were fully furnished, providing serviced office suites. The second floor provided open-plan office space, subsequently occupied by a local NHS PCT.
Two terraces of variable industrial/workspace units were built on the remaining site. Providing roller shutter doors, gas fired space heaters, manager’s office, dedicated WC’s and all main services connections. Additionally, all hard and soft finish landscaping.
Site redevelopment included internal road layouts, re-alignment of main entrance configuration, dedicated servicing, car park and security.
A Very Good BREEAM rating was achieved for both Office and Industrial Units, pre and post construction.
The project was carried out in association with Yorkshire Forward Development Agency, North Barnsley Partnership Limited and Objective 1 South Yorkshire. Partly financed by European Union, European Regional Development Fund and Yorkshire Bank.
The project was completed successfully and fully let post completion.
