Sports Direct required a 20,000 sq ft two storey extension at their head office site in Shirebrook Mansfield, which involved refurbishment of their existing Retail Store and fit-out of the extended ground floor extension to house a factory outlet. The upper floor was designed to accommodate a Nike International Training Academy.
A 16 week timeframe was allocated for the project to enable trading for the 2010 World Cup and needed to be delivered without detriment to the daily activities of staff and visiting customers.
Cube’s Approach:
The project required meticulous planning with special attention given to the live environment, including control of noise, dust and safety of customers, staff and contractors alike in the immediate vicinity of the trading Store. Car parking needed to be restricted and safe access for deliveries arranged.
Cube managed the design, cost, planning process and the health and safety plan. The programme was closely managed ensuring a smooth delivery by all parties culminating in the project finishing on time and within budget.
