A £9.5 million new build 6th form and IT college within the Blackburn college campus. Cube was appointed to provide CDMC services.
Cube’s Approach:
Cube worked closely with the client’s health and safety department to ensure all aspects of the project were delivered safely and in strict accordance with health and safety regulations. Cube’s early involvement in the project enabled close collaboration with the client’s design team to ensure that the building performed under CDM regulations and that key targets were set and adhered to. The project was delivered to a fast track programme of less than 12 months and on a live site. Cube suggested and organised design review workshops in which CDM input was critical when discussing key components. For example, a rain screen cladding was selected which could be procured off site thus eliminating on site workings.
