Cube were engaged by the Local Authority and building owner to assist in the repair and eradication of dry rot, which ravaged the structure of the Grade II 18th Century Farmhouse. We undertook specialist and exploratory surveys to assess the structural integrity of the building. Our aim was to preserve the historic integrity of the building features and to limit the irreversible damage caused by the dry rot. Working closely with specialist contractors and Local Authority Conservation department, we established a specification which included repairs to a number of internal wattle and daub walls, roof structure, structural timbers and masonry walls.
